Hello! Let's get acquainted!

If I were to summarize my experience briefly, it would be this:

My name is Inna Lymar, I'm a textile interior designer from Ukraine with approximately 17 years of experience in curtain design. For over three years, I specialized in wedding and event styling in Kyiv, working with floristry and decor. I was also the owner of a small creative studio for children, where I acted as both a director and an instructor.

My work is showcased on social media, but above all, I believe that the key to successful design is evoking lasting emotions for my clients. I listen carefully to individual needs and apply my professional skills to highlight each person's unique personality through design.

Seeing the final result bring joy to my clients is what makes me truly happy!

A New Chapter in the UK: Our Journey with the English Family

In July 2022, a new chapter began in the lives of my daughter and me as we arrived in the United Kingdom. I want to share not only my professional journey, but also the incredible story of the family who welcomed us with open hearts and provided us with safety, love and support during such an uncertain time.

The war in Ukraine brought unimaginable challenges and fear, and stepping into the unknown was daunting. However, I am deeply grateful that fate led us to our Host family. My heartfelt thanks go to James and Cathy, who took responsibility for our safety and well-being, offering us not only a place to stay but also a seamless transition into British life. Through their children, family, and friends, they continuously supported us in every possible way.
From the very first moment at the airport in London, they greeted us with warmth and kindness. I still vividly remember our arrival at their home—Grace had baked a delicious cake, and together with Stan and Freddy greeted us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Their adorable dogs provided us with comfort and a sense of therapy during such an emotional transition.

Despite my almost non-existent English, they showed immense patience and understanding, ensuring we could communicate using voice translators. You might say that helping others is easy when you have the resources, and while that may be partially true, my Host family gave us something far more valuable—their time, attention, and care. They took into account even the smallest details to make our transition as smooth as possible. They helped us with paperwork, accompanied us to hospital appointments and administrative offices, and made sure my daughter was enrolled in the best possible school. Thanks to their preparation and support, she quickly adapted to the new academic environment, formed wonderful friendships, and is now receiving an excellent education.

When it came to my professional aspirations, they truly listened to my needs and wishes, helping me find all the necessary information to restart my career in the UK. Their guidance and advice were invaluable, and I will always be grateful for their support.

Beyond practical help, they went above and beyond to introduce us to British history, culture, and traditions. They showed us the beauty of England, took us on trips, and genuinely engaged with our own traditions, showing great respect and curiosity about our heritage.

Even though we no longer live together, we cherish every opportunity to see each other or receive a kind message about how everyone is doing. They continue their acts of kindness, even finding time to help with small repairs on my bicycle, which is incredibly meaningful and memorable. A special thanks to Cathy and James, whose thoughtfulness ensured that I was always warm in the colder months—I know that they will smile when they would read this)))

Their children are a true reflection of James and Cathy’s values, growing up with kindness, respect, and integrity. James and Cathy set an example of how a loving couple should support and listen to each other while respecting each other’s individuality.

This family holds a special place in our hearts. They are humble, kind, and generous, setting an example for everyone around them. I truly believe their family is a treasure of England, and I am grateful to have met them and share our story
